bdwin Cricket Betting — Best Odds on T20, Test, BPL and International Matches
Betting on cricket, Bangladesh's favourite sport, is now easier than ever. At bdwin, you'll find every market in one place — from the toss to match winner, top batsman, and live in-play.
T20, ODI and Test — differences in betting across three formats
Cricket's three main formats — T20, ODI, and Test — each have a different pace and strategy, which means the betting markets work a little differently too. In T20, wickets and boundary rates change fast, so odds move in an instant. In ODIs, the mid-innings break and powerplay play an important role in betting decisions. In Test matches, pitch conditions and weather influence betting choices because the match unfolds over five days.
The most popular competitions among Bangladeshi fans are the BPL, IPL, and ICC T20 World Cup. Fans in Dhaka follow the local BPL teams closely, while the whole country watches Bangladesh Tigers in international matches. All these competition markets are available in one place at bdwin.
Football and other sports markets alongside cricket
Alongside cricket, bdwin also offers betting on football and other popular sports. One key difference between cricket and football markets is that limited-overs cricket has no draw, so the market is split between two teams; in football, a draw is a separate outcome, meaning there are typically three possible results with their own odds.
Some sports have specific special markets that only suit that type of game. Cricket has markets like "toss winner" or "runs in the first over" that simply do not exist in football. The betting experience is therefore a little different for each sport.

Seven types of cricket betting markets
A simple explanation of how each market works.
Match Winner
Pick which of the two teams will win. T20 and ODI matches have no draw, so it is a straight choice between team A and team B. This is the simplest and most common market in limited-overs cricket.
Most PopularToss Winner
Bet on which team will win the toss before the match begins. This has no direct connection to the match result, so pitch conditions or team form are not relevant here — it is a completely separate market.
Quick ResultTop Batsman
Bet on who will score the most runs in a team or across the whole match. A team's batting order and a batsman's recent form are relevant in this market, though the outcome is never certain.
Player MarketTotal Runs Over/Under
Choose whether the total runs in a match or an innings will be above (over) or below (under) a set number. This market is more dynamic in T20 because run rates change quickly.
Runs BasedTop Bowler
Bet on which bowler will take the most wickets in the match. Whether the pitch and conditions are bowler-friendly is particularly relevant in this market.
Player MarketMulti Bet
Combine the outcomes of multiple matches or markets into a single bet. If all selections are correct the return is much higher, but one wrong selection means the entire bet loses — that is the core rule of a multi bet.
Multiple SelectionsHandicap and Run Line
In a handicap market, the weaker team is given a head start of a certain number of runs. For example, if team A receives a 30-run handicap, that 30 runs is added to team A's score when settling the bet — not based on the actual scoreboard. The outcome of this type of market is determined by the margin of runs, not a fixed monetary calculation.
Decimal, Fractional and American — odds in three formats
Odds on betting sites are written in three formats: decimal, fractional, and American (+/-). bdwin generally displays decimal format, which is the most straightforward for bettors in Bangladesh.
The table below shows the same odds written in all three formats. Example 1: Team A to win, bet ৳200 — decimal 3.00 equals fractional 2/1, American +200. If the bet wins, ৳600 is returned (৳400 profit + ৳200 original stake); if it loses, ৳200 is gone.
Example 2: Favourite team B to win, bet ৳200 — decimal 1.25 equals fractional 1/4, American -400. American minus odds show how much you need to bet to win ৳100. A ৳200 bet returns ৳250 (৳50 profit).
| Team | Decimal | Fractional | American | Return on ৳200 bet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Team A (underdog) | 3.00 | 2/1 | +200 | ৳600 |
| Team B (favourite) | 1.25 | 1/4 | -400 | ৳250 |
Multi Bet Example
Three selections at decimal 1.40, 1.50 and 1.80 — combined odds:
1.40 × 1.50 × 1.80 = 3.78
A ৳100 bet returns ৳378 — but only if all three selections win. If one loses, the full ৳100 is gone.
In-play betting — how odds change when a wicket falls
In in-play or live betting, odds update continuously as the match progresses. This is especially dynamic in cricket because the situation changes with every ball. When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds increase (their chance of winning drops) and the fielding team's odds shorten.
As overs are completed, the market is recalculated based on the run rate and balls remaining. Major shifts are visible at the end of the powerplay or when the death overs begin. Some markets — such as "will there be a run off the next ball" or "how many runs in this over" — are only available in live betting.
Decisions in live betting need to be made quickly because odds change by the second. The site may suspend betting for a few seconds, especially after a wicket falls or during a review — this is a normal part of the process. Enjoy live betting while keeping responsible gaming guidelines in mind.

Betting Exchange Model
Some markets have two sides — back and lay. For example: backing team A at decimal 1.80 with a ৳1,000 bet means ৳800 profit if team A wins (before commission); ৳1,000 is lost if they lose.
Laying team A (against a ৳1,000 backer's stake), your liability is ৳800 (৳1,000 × 0.80); if team A does not win you take ৳1,000, if they do win you pay ৳800.
Some practical advice before you start
- Set a budget beforehand: Betting is for entertainment — set aside a fixed amount and try not to go beyond it. Chasing losses with bigger bets is not a good idea.
- Focus on one market: Rather than betting on many markets at once, focusing on one or two familiar markets makes it easier to make decisions.
- Understand the format before betting: T20 and Test matches move at different paces. The same team can perform differently across formats, so keep the format in mind when making decisions.
- Don't rush in live betting: Because in-play betting requires quick decisions, many people bet on impulse. Avoid placing bets without checking the odds carefully.
- Be careful with multi bets: Combining many selections makes the potential return look large, but the chance of all of them being correct is also lower. Start with fewer selections.
- Know the rules: Reading the terms and conditions for betting means you will already know what happens if a market is voided or suspended.
